Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
This feature-length Danish cartoon, the second in a trilogy that began with Trællene (1978) and concluded with Trællenes Børn (1980), tells three separate stories: "The Black Death," about arranged marriages in the shadow of the plague of 1349; "Rebellion and Deceit," the adventures of a young peasant boy in 1450; and, finally, "The Hangman's Daughter," a self-explanatory drama set in 1542.
