Combining documentary, musical, animation, and television, Scottish artist Phil Collins creates an imaginary media landscape in Glasgow. Scenes of ordinary people bursting into song—part of a song cycle by Welsh pop star Cate Le Bon, accompanied by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra—are punctuated by campy public-access broadcasts on current topics, and short animations by Matthew Robins. Glaswegians in various communities helped to create the scenes in this work about the intersection of public institutions, the digital age, and ordinary life.
