Minnie Ann Thomas (Eileen Percy) lives in a small New England town. She is a tomboy and star batter for the local baseball team. The villagers are the usual gossipy bunch, and they pay for their newspaper subscriptions in vegetables, much to the frustration of the paper's editor. Bootleggers are ruining people's lives with their poisonous whiskey, and a revenuer (Hal Cooley) comes to town to investigate. He and Minnie work together to track down the bootleggers and, along the way, they fall in love. The bad guys are rounded up, and Minnie is inspired to become more ladylike.
