Using countless hours of footage shot on 16mm film from the early 1990s, filmmaker Mary Wharton peels back the layers on the late singer-songwriter Tom Petty creative process as he began drafting his 1994 album, Wildflowers. Intimate moments between Petty and his collaborators reveal a musician at the peak of his creative energy, working diligently to offer an insightful, soulful album to the public.
