This group was formed in Santa Barbara during the mid-'80s with members Dean Dinning (bass/vocals/keyboards), drummer Randy Guss, guitarist Todd Nichols, and Glen Phillips (vocals/keyboards/guitars). This quartet established themselves as highly unique modern rock band with their own signature sound. This group is an American success story, starting with their first album that was produced on a modest budget for 650 dollars, later sold and re-issued under Columbia Records, and achieving platinum status and hit-chart coverage in the U.S. and Europe.
