Synopsis by Paola Diego
To Be of Service is an 88-minute documentary film that explores the lives of military veterans who have Post-Traumatic Stress disorder and their struggles to return to normal civilian life and reconnect with their families. For those whose medication and therapy falls short, they get paired with a service dog. The unconditional love from these trained dogs becomes the support and constant companionship for them to return to an independent life and re-engage with the outside world and their families.
