Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
An award-winning cast re-enacts the hearings that the American government held following the disastrous sinking of the Titanic. Actors Cloris Leachman, David McCallum and Gloria Stuart give voice to the words of many actual survivors and witnesses of this tragic event. All of these actors had previously acted in television, screen or stage productions about this event. The music that plays in the background is the same music that was played by the Titanic's string quartet as the ship began sinking. This film provides viewers with an added understanding of what actually occurred during that cold night so long ago when a giant iceberg loomed in the Titanic's pathway.
