Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Princess Sylvia (Kitty Gordon) makes a major mistake when she marries "beneath her station" to Richard Carmichael (Bradley Barker). Finally divorcing the philandering Carmichael, Sylvia tries to get custody of their daughter Ruth (Muriel Ostriche), but the judge rules that Ruth will make the final decision as to which parent she will live with. Ruth elects to spend some time with Sylvia's circle of friends, which turns out to be quite an experience as the girl fends off the unwanted attentions of various rapacious aristocrats. Finally, Ruth declares that she will remain with neither of her parents, choosing instead to marry her longtime sweetheart Jefferson Kane (Frank Mayo). Tinsel was primarily an excuse to show off its two leading ladies in a stunning array of expensive gowns.
