Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The title of this ten-episode British drama series did not refer to Hollywood, but instead to a gaudy Glasgow nightclub. The establishment was patronized by a group of jaded twentysomethings, all of whom were mired waist-deep in self-deception, self-hatred, cheap sex, and expensive drugs. Realistic to a fault, the series had its fans, though many were shocked by its explicitness. Created by Robbie Allen, Stuart Davids, and Martin McCardie, Tinsel Town was broadcast by BBC2 from August 7 to October 9, 2000.
