Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The British series Time Busters can be described as a "sci-fi game show." On each episode, two teams of contestants piled into special buses, then purportedly traveled through time and space, interacting with famous historical characters while they searched for a tube-shaped "goal." Along the way, the players solved puzzles and deciphered clues, hopefully one step ahead of the resident "villain" (usually played by one of the actors who'd appeared on the producers' previous series Knightmare). Hosted by Michael Troughton, Time Busters was seen over the BBC from 1990 to 1992.
