Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Director Duncan MacRae reserved a juicy supporting part for himself in this Edison four-reeler. Based on a story by Gertrude Lyon, the film was a backstage drama focusing on the trials and tribulations of a young starstruck girl, played by Gertrude McCoy. Lured to the Big City by a handsome matinee idol, McCoy is inveigled into a phony marriage with the object of her idolatry. Just before she learns the truth, her "husband" is shot by the father of one of his previous conquests. McCoy is accused of murder, but a last-minute confession from the guilty party enables the heroine to avoid prison and to marry the man who truly deserves her.
