Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Created by Sidney M. Cohen and Willie Stein, the weekly wish-fulfillment series Thrill of a Lifetime was one of Canadian television's most popular attractions. On each half-hour episode, a "typical" man or woman was given the opportunity to fulfill his/her heart's desire. The lucky participants were allowed to do everything from conduct a symphony orchestra to embark upon a safari, with the program's camera crew immortalizing their every move. 150 episodes of Thrill of a Lifetime were networkcast by CTV from 1981 to 1987; the series' producers have offered a syndicated version for airplay in the United States.
