Based on the Spanish TV series Uno, Dos, Tres, the British game show Three Two One was seen over Yorkshire Television beginning in 1978. On each episode, three couples answered "category" and general-knowledge questions, with some clues provided in the form of comedy sketches. Once these questions had been dispensed with, the game proper began, with the contestants striving to avoid "winning" the booby prize, known as the Dusty Binn. By the time Three Two One wore out its welcome in 1987, the series had produced 180 hour-long episodes.
