Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
Documentary filmmaker Bianca Stigter uncovers a never-before-seen sixteen-millimeter film footage that offers a poignant, emotionally resonant look into life on the eve of the Second World War. In a rural Polish village, Jewish citizens go about their daily lives with joy, unaware of the horrors that will plague their people in the near future. The film essay offers a meditative commentary on the power of memory amidst tragedy.
