Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Produced and directed by former cameraman Fred J. Balshofer, this obscure silent Western was a spoof on Alexandre Dumas' oft-filmed The Three Musketeers. Buck Humes plays Dartigan, who, ridiculed for riding an old nag, engages in pistol duels with the famous Three Buckaroos: Athor (Monte Montague), Forthor (Tex Keith) and Aramor (Bill Conant). En route to his appointments, Dartigan falls for Constance Kingsley (Peggy O'Dare aka Peggy O'Day), and now "adopted" by the Buckaroos, helps defeat a gang of cattle rustlers headed by "Card" Richie (Allan Garcia). In his first starring role, Humes later changed his name to Fred Humes, signed with Universal and enjoyed moderate success as a B-Western hero.
