What on earth is Mary Astor doing at small-scale World Wide Pictures? Well, playing a good wife with a cheating husband, that's what. And it is indeed an unusually subservient Miss Astor who takes up the fight against hubhy Kenneth McKenna's very loud inamorata, Lilyan Tashman. The husky-voiced Miss Tashman is all over the place in Those We Love, but amusingly so, and she has no trouble stealing the drama from right under the noses of its stars. A force of nature in the early 1930s, Tashman delivers her lines with the appropriate finesse and offers a much needed lift to George Abbot and S.K. Lauren's already then ancient play. The results are silly, but entertainingly so.
