Ronald Hines starred in this 13-part British drama series as staid London corporate banker Harry Shaw. Beset with financial difficulties, Shaw attempted to give himself a fresh start in life by moving back to his home town in Yorkshire, there to live with his less conservative brother Jackie (Michael Elphick). Not wishing to give up city life, Shaw's wife stayed behind in London, where she inaugurated an affair with Harry's business partner. This Year Next Year was seen over Granada Television in 1977.
