Synopsis by Brian J. Dillard

In this episode of This Life, everyone's extracurricular sex lives continue to haunt them. Miles (Jack Davenport) and Anna (Daniela Nardini) continue to dodge the emotional implications of their recent night of passion (see This Life: The Secret of My Excess). Pretending not to care that Miles is about to marry another woman -- and blatantly ignoring his attempts to let her know he loves her -- Anna busies herself advising Miles about the prenuptual agreement Francesca (Rachel Fielding) has asked him to sign. Meanwhile, Miles wins the big rape case that he inherited from Anna, but she declines to help him celebrate. After finding out that Ferdy (Ramon Tikaram) witnessed him and Anna making love, a chagrined Miles tries to apologize but ends up drunkenly blabbing about the bisexual bike messenger's own indiscretions to his boyfriend, Lenny (Tony Curran). Meanwhile, Milly (Amita Dhiri) nearly gets caught cheating on Egg (Andrew Lincoln) with her boss, O'Donnell (David Mallinson). Accidentally leaving her watch in O'Donnell's office after another late-night romp, Milly severely overreacts and pretends it's not hers when Kira (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and Rachel (Natasha Little) try to find the timepiece's rightful owner. And when Milly confesses her affair to best friend Anna, she gets a far different reaction from the one she expected. Series two, episode 19 of the cult-favorite British soap, This Life: Milly Liar first aired on BBC 2 on July 24, 1997.
