Synopsis
Indigenous and Black communities in Nova Scotia suffer injustices, health hazards, and even injuries and fatalities due to unaddressed environmental issues. It includes high rates of cancer cases allegedly caused by contaminated well water in a community outside of Shelburne and water pollution in Boat Harbour that affects the lives of Pictou Landing First Nation residents.
