Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This is a Plump and Runt comedy in name only -- Oliver Hardy as Plump is clearly the star and Billy Ruge as Runt only shows up in a supporting role. Plump has just gotten married, and he hands over the funds for the honeymoon to his bride (Ray Godfrey). Thinking the money will be safer this way, the new Mrs. Plump exchanges it for solid gold buttons, which she sews onto her coat. But the coat is stolen by a pair of tramps, and the panicked Mrs. Plump phones her husband and urges him to come home immediately. Plump obliges, but he's caught by officer Runt for speeding and tossed in jail. The tramps, who have been arrested for another crime, also happen to be behind bars. Plump finds his wife's coat and uses one of the buttons to pay the speeding fine so that he can get out of jail and go home.
