Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Gambler Jack Brookfield (C. Aubrey Smith) has psychic abilities and unconsciously he suggests a means of murdering the governor to Frank Hardmuth, a lawyer and political aspirant (Robert Conness). The murder is committed by a young man, Clay Whipple (Jack Sherill) and, as Hardmuth happens to be the prosecuting attorney, the trial promises to be short and simple. But Brookfield works his psychic powers on a member of the jury to hold up the verdict until it can be proved that Hardmuth was responsible for the crime. The scenario was based on -- and kept very faithful to -- the play by Augutus Thomas.
