Synopsis by Mark Deming
President George W. Bush has developed a reputation as a man who does not enjoy speaking extemporaneously, and some of his unscripted moments in front of a microphone have resulted in a number of malapropos and missteps of speech which have provided plenty of material for comedians. The Wit and Wisdom of George W. Bush is a short satirical film which takes a bit of Bush's verbal stumbling and uses it as the basis for an imaginary press conference gone wrong. The video release also includes footage of Bush's daughters attempting to make light of their public peccadilloes during a speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention.
