Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Bennet Rathnayake's drama The Wind tells the tale of a marriage that falls apart. After professor Senarathne (Sanath Gunatilake) falls for and marries his student Krishanthi (Dilhani Ekanayake), the two appear to be blissfully happy. However the birth of a baby complicates their relationship, and soon the professor is home less and less often. He becomes involved with a rape victim who has had such a difficult life she feels an overwhelming need for Senarathne's attention. During the couple's divorce proceedings, the truth of the rape victim's horrible background is revealed.
