Years before she became the toast of Prohibition nightlife, Texas Guinan toiled in a series of one-reel Westerns that included this surviving melodrama filmed in Bisbee, AZ. She plays Texas Carswell, a motion picture star imagining life in the Old West. A stranger (Leo Willis) turns out to be a revenue agent and Texas' brother, Tom, turns him out. But when a gang of moonshiners captures the stranger, Texas takes matters into her own hands. There is a climactic shootout between the moonshiners and the "revenoo" agents, during which Texas is wounded. When the smoke settles, the agent proposes to his guardian angel and she accepts. The little film was directed by Jay Hunt, photographed by E.G. Dyer, and, according to surviving publicity material, featured "real Arizona cowboys."
