Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Ted Morton (Harrison Ford), the son of a wealthy family, has a fatal weakness for the roulette wheel. His gambling causes his parents a lot of grief, and they urge him to settle down and get married. However, when he chooses milliner Kate O'Hara (Claire Adams) as his bride, his father (David Torrence) is less than thrilled with the match, and disowns him. Ted marries Kate and goes to work as a car salesman. Kate's former flame, Edward Baker (Mahlon Hamilton), runs a gambling hall, and he is determined to win her back from Ted. To get him out of the way, Baker buys a car from him and then has it delivered to his gambling den -- a very dangerous place for Ted. Soon the bug has caught him once again and he forges a check to continue gambling. He loses all the money. Kate, meanwhile, tries betting on a horse to get the money together, but it loses the race. The jockey, an employee of Baker's, convinces him to be a good sport and acknowledge that he has lost Kate. Amazingly, Baker does and gives Kate a new check. After their ordeal, Ted and Kate are finally welcomed into Ted's family. This gambling drama was based on the stage play by Winchell Smith.
