Synopsis by Alice Day
Doctors are frequently confronted with patients suffering from terminal illness. When there is little that can be done, health professionals sometimes experience personal challenges regarding their patient's imminent death. The Vanishing Line (aka P.O.V.: The Vanishing Line) documents the story of one doctor's journey as he tries to provide support for his dying patients and their families. He discovers the many things a physician can do to ease the suffering if a patient is in pain, and he discovers that giving information and compassionate care is helpful to both the patient and their loved ones.
