This Hal Roach spoof of The Unholy Three starred Charley Chase. Chase, Katherine Grant, and Bull Montana all aspire to be society crooks. They decide that their first big job will be to steal the famed Kadjir brooch, which Mrs. Van Courtland has just presented to her daughter. The crook-wannabes find out that Mrs. Van Courtland is throwing a party in the girl's honor and must figure out how to crash the event. They find an easy way in when they collide with a trio of musicians who are supposed to be the party's entertainment. They convince the performers that the soiree has been postponed, and they pretend to be the musicians themselves. The only problem with this is that none of them can play the instruments, as the party's guests soon discover. This draws the attention of a detective who keeps a watchful eye on them. Things come to a head when the musicians call to verify the cancellation and discover that the party is still on. Although Charley and his pals manage to steal the brooch, by the end of the picture they have decided to go straight.
