Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Yip Wing Cho's revenge action film The Thundering Mantis stars Leung Kar Yan as Ah Chi, a martial arts student who is expelled from his school after a fight with one of Boss Hsia's (Wong Yat Lung) men. Ah Chi befriends a child whose uncle is well-versed in the Insane Mantis Fist technique. After Hsia's men beat up Ah Chi, Chi is adopted by the uncle. When Hsia's men kill the uncle, Ah Chi snaps and seeks a very violent revenge.
