Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
As this children's fable begins, it appears to be a fairly routine retelling of a romantic fable, although it is somewhat fast-paced. Before long, however, the aliens have landed and changed the whole affair from a simple story of love thwarted due to conniving politicians to a much more complex thriller embroiling the hero and heroine in a campaign to save their kingdom as well as themselves. The initial story concerns the decision by the country's ruler to shun marriage with a woman even less attractive than he is. Instead, he abducts the beautiful peasant girl Elena, so as to provide his parents with presentable grandchildren rather than monstrosities. However, Elena's heart is pledged to a handsome dairy farmer, Boyan. The handsome lad recruits his childhood friend, a dashing outlaw, to help him rescue his girl. Not long after his rescue efforts begin, aliens from another planet become embroiled in the kingdom's affairs.
