A woman gets a crash-course in men's attitudes about sex when she starts selling her body in this offbeat drama. Myriam (Daniela Wutte) is a pretty thirty-something woman living in a small German town, where she works as a school librarian. Myriam's husband Bernd (Christoph Jacobi) has been elected mayor of their town, but her pride in her spouse is shaken when she learns that he's been making regular visits to a brothel in Holland. Myriam can't understand why her husband is paying for sex, and the more she ponders the notion, the more curious she becomes -- so much so that she decides to give prostitution a try herself, and begins moonlighting in a local bawdy house. Die Dinge Zwischen Uns (aka The Things Between Us) was the first feature film from writer and director Iris Janssen.
