Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A Peruvian girl with a troubled family past returns to her hometown in hopes that her estranged father will prove a match for the bone marrow that her dying brother desperately needs in order to survive. It's been years since Miranda (Jimena Lindo) has been back to Arequipa, but when doctors give her brother Tomas (Leonardo Torres Vilar) a grim diagnosis while claiming that the pair's father Ignacio (Gianfranco Brero) may be the boy's only hope for survival, the dedicated sister vows to track the old man down. Upon returning to her picturesque hometown Miranda makes the acquaintance of hydraulic engineer Saul (Pietro Sibille), who readily agrees to help the girl locate her father in the Andean countryside. Later, when Miranda does eventually locate Ignacio, the dark secrets of the past cast a grim blanket of uncertainty over the future.
