Synopsis by Hal Erickson
In this obscure British game show, the contestants were encouraged to bet huge sums of money on the stock market. An animated bar-chart followed the progress of the actual London Exchange so that the players could see how they were doing. As the program progressed, the "surviving" contestants concentrated exclusively on a single sure-fire stock per episode. The Stocks and Shares Show made its Channel 4 debut in 1988.
