Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
In this dramatic mystery, an heiress believes that she ran over and killed a man while driving home from a party. Later a stranger appears at her door and tries to blackmail her about the incident. Rather than pay the money and own up to her guilt, the heiress decides to kill herself. This frightens the extortionist into telling her that the man only suffered a few bruises and walked away from the accident. The heiress doesn't believe him and returns to the accident scene where she finds the muddy body of her lawyer. She is nearly unhinged by the discovery, but fortunately, her would-be blackmailer has had a change of heart and begins looking into the situation. He discovers that the woman's philandering husband and his lovers orchestrated the whole mess to try and drive the heiress insane.
