Synopsis

A Ken Burns documentary about Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, who played pivotal roles in shaping modern America. Theodore, the 26th U.S. president, battled corporate greed and built the Panama Canal. FDR, the 32nd U.S. president, stewarded the nation through the Great Depression and World War II. And after her husband's death, Eleanor essentially became the country's de facto conscience, championing civil rights, civil liberties and the U.N.
