Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
A pair of youthful Thai brothers embark upon a river adventure to distant Bangkok after their mother falls terribly ill (their father died many years before) and is too sick to provide for them. The adventure is the idea of 13-year-old Jod who hopes that he and his little brother Ju will be able to find work and help their mom. Unfortunately, after a long raft ride into the city, they find that Bangkok is far from the friendly city they imagined it would be.
