Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Stenographer Marjorie Helmer (Dorothy Phillips) embarks upon the "risky road" when she agrees to be the kept woman of her former employer Melville Kingston (William Stowell). Curiously, Majorie's "protector" adopts a strictly hands-off policy, but try telling that to the girl's hometown beau Bob Grant (George Cheseboro). Assuming that Marjorie is now "easy," Bob puts the moves on her, only to be booted out of her apartment. The heroine's virtue remains intact until the end, when the enigmatic Kingston finally pops the question. Directed by Ida May Park, who was responsible for several previous Dorothy Phillips vehicles, The Risky Road was based on Her Fling, a story by Katherine Lazer Robbins.
