The Civil War is revisited in this taut episode of The Rifleman, which has a crippled Confederate soldier (Royal Dano) arriving at Lucas McCain's ranch at the same time as a visiting General Sheridan (Lawrence Dobkin). But the War is well over and Lucas (Chuck Connors), with Sheridan's assistance, manages to prevent further carnage.
