On this telecast from December 26, 1961, Red Skelton rings in the New Year with one of his favorite guest stars, actress Marilyn Maxwell. In the comedy sketch "Appleby's Office Party," henpecked George Appleby is placed under hypnosis. Told that he is all-powerful and a giant among men, George returns home to finally put his nagging wife Clara (Marilyn) in her proper place. Clara is duly impressed by her husband's personality change-and then the spell starts wearing off. Frank Wilcox appears as George's bullying boss.
