A couple in their sixties make a life together, despite the language and cultural barriers between them. He is a New Zealand native and she is a refugee from China. The small red house they share represents a world all their own. When she returns to China to visit her elderly parents, he comes along, prompting both to reflect on the concept of "home" and what it truly means to them.
