Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
The husband-and-wife team of Lester Cuneo and Francelia Billington had supported Tom Mix before starting out on their own in minor westerns like The Ranger and the Law, which Cuneo produced for Doubleday release. Cuneo plays a young Easterner who heads West to become a forest ranger but instead gets tangled up with a gang of bootleggers, one of whom (Clark Comstock) is the father of Cuneo's girlfriend (Billington). The Cuneo westerns were highly advertised in trade journals but generally suffered in comparison with more mainstream fare. His ultimate lack of success was a major factor to Cuneo's November 1, 1925 suicide.
