This typical early silent Western melodrama starred Louise Glaum in the title role, a village girl loved by the local puritan minister. She, however, fancies the new more worldly schoolmaster (Charles Ray) and they elope. They quickly return, but are forgiven their transgressions when they inform the village of an impending attacks by Indians. According to some historians, director (and 1922 murder victim) William Desmond Taylor played one of the leads in this film. A former stage ingenue, Baltimore's Louise Glaum was to become producer Thomas H. Ince's resident vamp and is especially remembered for several Westerns opposite William S. Hart.
