Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
"Architect Luis Barragán is considered by some to be Mexico's most prolific and artistic architect. However, Switzerland's Vitra Design Museum purchased Barragán's entire professional archive after his 1988 passing and trademarked his name, signifying that the museum must approve any and all reproductions of the late architect's work. In this documentary, filmmaker Jill Magid strives to shed light on Barragán's legacy and allow his works to be accessible to the general public once more as she contends with the museum and its strict policies.
