Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Tom Mix had just graduated from one- to three-reelers when he made this Western, and its cookie-cutter plot would be repeated over and over again. Due to incompetence, Jim Blake (Joe Ryan) is fired from his job as a pony express rider. Tom Orbig, a cow-punching ex-con (Mix) replaces him, and Blake swears revenge, both on Orbig, and on ranch-owner Ed Wilson (Sid Jordan), who caused him to lose his post. Wilson has a dispute with Happy Jack (Pat Chrisman), who accidentally shoots himself later; before he dies, however, he writes a note explaining the circumstances. Wilson, who has come over to Jack's to apologize, finds his body, and Blake seizes the opportunity to have him arrested for murder. One of Jack's friends finds the note, and Orbig dashes to the rescue just in time to save Wilson from hanging. Blake is thrown in jail for trumping up charges against Wilson, and Orbig wins Wilson's daughter.
