Synopsis by Mark Deming
It is estimated that if the current rate of population growth goes unchecked, there will be three times as many people on the Earth at the end of the 21st Century as there were at the beginning. The People Bomb is a documentary (assembled from a series of reports broadcast on the CNN cable network) which examines the many issues of health and economics brought on by the continuing swell of human population, as well as exploring the growth patters of the population boom, which parts of the world are at the greatest risk, and what can be done to help.
