This sci-fi horror film directed and co-written by Josh Boone is based on the Marvel comics of the same name. Five teenage mutants Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams), Cannonball (Charlie Heaton), Roberto da Costa (Henry Zaga) and Danielle Moonstar Blu Hunt are only just learning of their profound supernatural abilities after being held in a clandestine facility under the watchful eye of doctor and mentor Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga). But can they grapple with their past wrongdoings in order to change their predicament, or are they prisoners of their sins?
