Synopsis by Janiss Garza

In the mid-1910s Bobby Burns and Walter Stull formed a comic duo known as Pokes and Jabs (sometimes Jabs was spelled with two b's). After stints at Lubin and Sterling, they went over to Vim, and this one-reeler is their first production for the studio. Mr. and Mrs. Jabbs (Burns and Edna Reynolds) are so concerned about being burglarized that they each hire detectives. Mrs. Jabbs hires Loos Pokes (Stull), while Mr. Jabbs hires a lady detective (Ethel Burton). The two detectives, not realizing that there's any sort of relationship between their two employers, fall in love. While they are romancing, a burglar breaks into the Jabbs' home, but he is so inept that he gets tangled up in his booty. The detectives hurry to the Jabbs' home and instead of arresting the burglar, nab the Jabbs instead. Eventually they figure out who the real crook is. This film features half of a future, more famous comic duo: Oliver Hardy, of Laurel and Hardy fame.
