Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Divinity student John Fairmeadow (J. Warren Kerrigan) likes his liquor and as a result is expelled from the seminary. He travels out West and lands in a camp where lumberman Batch has just died. He reads the funeral service and befriends the dead man's daughter Pattie (Louise Lovely). The men at the lumber camp like John's ways -- he's tough and a hard fighter -- so, reluctantly at first, he sticks around. Because he is such a regular guy, John manages to bring religion to the area and do some good work, for example, reuniting a wayward girl and her father. Eventually word of John's efforts reach the bishop. At last John is ordained and he marries Pattie.
