Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Having reached the point where she can predict what everyone in the newsroom will say long before they say it, Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) comes to the conclusion that her life is in a rut. Despite the efforts of her friends to cheer her up, Mary is convinced that the only way she can pull herself out of her monotonous existence is to make a major change in her life. Thus, Mary packs her clothes, her utensils, and even that big "M" wall decoration and moves into a brand-new apartment -- which, she is loath to admit, she hates on sight. A cute "inside" response to the "Sixth-Season Blues" undoubtedly being experienced by the Mary Tyler Moore Show production staff, "Mary Moves Out" originally aired on September 20, 1975.
