Synopsis by Alice Duncan
The March of Time collection of documentaries includes 45 programs that use newsreel footage and narration to portray historical events from the first half of the 20th century. This volume, Changing Attitudes, is the first of a four-part Cold War series focused on the tensions and rivalry between major world powers of the East and West, which made the world seem close to the brink of war for decades. Each program consists of selections from newsreels originally released by Time Magazine. Other Cold War series programs include: Hostility Grows, Peace or War?, and Time Marches On.
