Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
David Chase, the creator of HBO’s The Sopranos, co-writes this mafia-themed drama that serves as a prequel to the series. Set in New Jersey during the 1960s and the ‘70s, the story follows the teenage years of future mob figure Tony Soprano (Michael Gandolfini). As the reluctantly intelligent teen comes of age during one of the most tumultuous times in the city of Newark, Tony finds himself getting exposed and involved in gang wars as he hangs out with his uncle, Dickie Moltisanti (Alessandro Nivola), in 1967. Directed by Alan Taylor. Leslie Odom Jr., Vera Farmiga, and Ray Liotta co-star.
